Hangry

I'm a working a mom... A Working mom who from time to time get's HANGRY!!   I've been trying really hard to save money.  Which means that I don't always have the luxury of going out for lunch...

A thought came to my mind, "What are some shelf stable foods I can keep in a container at my desk?"...

Enter Google..

I searched for that topic, and surprisingly came up with a lot of responses.

Here are some popular items people keep in their cubicles:
  • canned soups
  • granola bars/Kind bars/Lara Bars/Etc.
  • Bowl or Packet Oatmeal 
  • Nuts
  • Dried Fruits
  • Peanut butter/Jelly
  • Canned tuna (Yuck! I hate Tuna...  Feel free to substitute for Canned chicken or turkey).
Having access to a coop is great.  I'm finding lots of things via my co-op that I could use for my hurricane kit, and also use for my lunch stash at work.
  • Dr. McDougall's Oatmeal Bowls
  • Dr. McDougall's soup cups
  • Nuts
  • Dried Fruits
  • Amy's canned soups
  • Beef Jerky
I'm sure there are a lot more things... What do you bring with you in case of emergencies?  I'd love to see your suggestions!
